Clinton County Healthy Hometown is sponsoring an exciting new program called “Fitness Buddies” for students at Albany Elementary School and Clinton County High School. During this program, student volunteers from CCHS are visiting AES one day each week and working with AES students in the gym for 30 minutes on fun, physical fitness activities. The goal of the program is to encourage students at both AES and CCHS to get up and get moving! Participants are challenged to complete weekly nutrition and fitness goals, and are rewarded with small incentives along the way. On Wednesday, December 14, 2016, the Fitness Buddies group was rewarded with a trip to the Urban Ninja Project gym in Lexington to work out and celebrate their hard work throughout the semester.
