The 8th Annual 7th Brigade, SGM (Ret) Paul Gray Memorial Drill / Color Guard / Marksmanship / Academic Competition was held at North Hardin High School in Radcliff, Kentucky on March 11, 2017. It was a great day for the Bulldog Battalion. This is the largest JROTC competition in 7th Brigade, with 54 schools from five states participating. There were no Bulldog Battalion team wins; however, three Bulldog Battalion Cadets won individual awards. Cadet Second Lieutenant Haley Herald earned 25th place in the Unarmed Regulation Knockout Drill Event. This is Haley’s 2nd Competition Knockout Drill Medal in the last two weeks. Cadet Sergeant First Class Daniel Thomas earned 15th place in the Unarmed Regulation Knockout Drill Event. This is Daniel’s first Knockout Medal. Cadet Second Lieutenant Gabrielle Longwell earned 11th place in the Unarmed Regulation Knockout Drill Event. This is Gabrielle’s second year in a row winning a Knockout Drill Medal at this competition. There were over 300 cadets competing in this event.
