Clinton County Middle School has received an Arts Inclusion award in the amount of $1,300.00, funded by VSA Kentucky, a non-profit organization that provides opportunities in the arts for children and adults with disabilities. This award will fund a week-long program at Clinton County Middle School with Burkesville teaching artist Patricia Ritter. During the project, Mrs. Ritter will work with the entire 8th grade class on a project called Promoting DAWGS Through Art. Together with Mrs. Ritter, students will be designing and painting artistic murals of the acronym DAWGS – Determination + Attitude + Willingness + Goals = Success! The murals will appear in both the boys and girls locker rooms. The VSA project at CCMS is scheduled for March 20 – 24, 2017.
