The Clinton County Middle School Boys 7th Grade basketball team competed in the 2017 Boys 7th Grade State Tournament in Lexington, Kentucky on January 27-29, 2017. Sixty teams competed in the tournament. After defeating RW Combs 48-38 and Jessie Clark 50-22 in pool play, the Bulldogs earned a bye into the round of 32. There they defeated Royal Springs in overtime, 28-27 to earn a spot in the Sweet 16. They then lost to Barret Middle School, who went on to win their second consecutive state championship title. The Bulldogs finish the year with an 18-2 record. The team is coached by Sheldon Harlan, Jason Harlan, and Mark Gibson.
