On September 27, 2017, the Industrial Maintenance students from Clinton County ATC participated in an industry tour of Toyotetsu America Inc. (TTAI). Students and Instructor Jerry Bell toured the facility that manufactures numerous body components for the Toyota Camry assembled in Georgetown. The tour was a collaboration between TTAI representative Richard Snowden and Clinton County ATC Industrial Maintenance Instructor Jerry Bell. The purpose of the tour was to educate the students about the various career opportunities related to their career pathway studies at the ATC. Mr. Snowden and others led the group on an informative and exciting tour of TTAI, allowing students to see stamping operations, die maintenance, robotic welding, shipping / receiving, quality control, and “just in time” production techniques - just to name a few. Mr. Snowden also took time to promote the KY FAME program and discuss the recent success of former Clinton County ATC student Daniel Duvall, as he participates in the KY FAME program. Clinton County ATC would like to thank Toyotetsu America Inc. for its hospitality and looks forward to a strong partnership with them and our school.
