Migrant Summer Program

During the 2017 Migrant Summer Program, numerous activities were available for migrant students from preschool to out of school youth.  Participants had the opportunity to attend many different summer camps and programs, including 21st Century Summer Camp, Library Summer Reading Program, Salvation Army Camp Paradise Valley, Trooper Island Camp, 4-H Camp, and the Jump Start Academy.  Home visits were made during June and July to all students enrolled in the Migrant Program.  Thirty-six parents and students enjoyed a reward field trip to Beech Bend Park for completing eighty hours of summer learning.  Has your family has moved from a town or school district within the past three years?  Did you move seeking agricultural work (this includes working at Equity Group)?  If so, you may qualify for the Migrant Education Program!  For more information, contact Migrant Program Director Wayne Hughes at 606-387-6272.
