And They're Off!!!

Bad weather didn't stop the real Run for the Roses on Saturday, but it did delay the annual Kindergarten Little Kentucky Derby.  This year's stick horse race was held at the Early Childhood Center on Monday, May 8, 2017, instead of the usual Friday before the Kentucky Derby.  Each kindergarten class competed in separate heats, and the final race featured the winners from each class.

Pictured below are the 2017 Little Kentucky Derby winners.  From left to right: Waylon Warinner (Mrs. Tammy Cook's class), Cullen Cooksey (Mrs. Jackie Frey's class), Camden Mason (Mrs. Tracy Goodman's class), Colton Stinson (Mrs. Tiffany Norris' class), Camren Richardson (Mrs. Patricia Riddle's class), and Cannon Harding (Mrs. Lisa Smith's class).  The overall winner was Cullen Cooksey.
