On Saturday, October 21st, the “Keepin It Movin” Steve Ping organization hosted the second annual Bliss from Blessings event in Somerset, Kentucky. During the event, 1,000 new bicycles were given away to children in Pulaski, Wayne, Russell, Lincoln, Casey, and Clinton counties. The event is coordinated by David Bennett to honor the memory of Steve Ping, founder of Cumberland Machinery Movers & Industrial Services, Inc. The goal of Bliss from Blessings is simply to create a blissful atmosphere to encourage our communities. Ninety four Clinton County children received new bicycles at the event. Participants were given golden vouchers and were accompanied by Kentucky State Troopers to redeem them for bikes. The Clinton County School District, Sheriff’s Department, and city & county government worked together to facilitate the participation of local children. Bus transportation was provided by the school district for families that needed it.
