Here you will find links to websites/apps that your child can play to help them study math skills. You will also find helpful links and videos. I will also be adding pictures of activities that we have been doing in class. If there is an upcoming assignment or project due you will be able to find the materials needed for those below, as well.

  • Fractions

    This week we have started looking at fractions. During this unit we will identify and create fractions, place fractions on a number line, and create equivalent fractions. 

  • Division

    This week we will begin looking at division. The sooner students learn their multiplication facts the sooner they will be able to successful at division. Please practice multiplication facts with students at home.

    Also, we've been discussing that division is a large amount being shared or split between people or into groups. Any opportunity you get to practice this concept at home, please do! 

  • Multiplication Strategies and Properties

    Last week (Nov. 6-10) we began discussing multiplication strategie and properties. 

    Multiplication Strategies are: arrays, equal groups, repeated addition, skip counting, and using number lines to hop.

    Multiplication Properties are: zero property, identity property, associative property, commutative property, and distributive property. 


    Under the multiplication folder (to the right) you will activities relating to both of these topics. 


    Also, I'm very proud of how hard the students have been working on their math facts. Keep up the great work! 

  • Multiplication

    We will begin our unit on multiplication this week (October 24th). Please, check your child's folder as we will begin having multiplication fact tests. Your child will be learning various ways to multiply. I'm super excited about this unit, and I think your child will be too! 


    Our first math test of the year over place value, rounding, comparing numbers, adding, and subtracting will be on Thursday, October 12th. 

    A study guide will be sent home at a later date. 

  • September 25th-September 29th

    We will be focusing on how to add and subtract numbers to 1,000. Students will be learning various strategies. Please, encourage them to show you these strategies at home! 

  • September 11th-September 15th

    We will be looking at comparing numbers, as well as adding and subtracting numbers to the thousands. 

  • September 4th-September 8th

    We are still studying place value and we have started learning about rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and 100.


    We will be having a quiz over round on Friday, September 8th. 

  • August 28th-September 1st

    We will continue reviewing place value, but we will begin learning about rounding numbers to the nearest 10 and 100. 

  • August 14th-25th

    We are working on place value this week. We are learning about a digits place in a number, that a digit takes on a value when it is in a place, and how to write numbers in different forms (standard, word, and expanded).
