My name is Ms. Brittany Guffey and I will be your math, science, and social studies teacher. I am so excited that you’re going to be a part of our third grade family. Many exciting things await us this year.
It’s a honor having the opportunity to teach alongside many of my former teachers, to teach the future of Clinton County, and to work in a school district that has the same passion for loving children as I do. I graduated from Clinton County High School in 2007 and began my secondary education journey at Lindsey Wilson studying elementary education. In 2011 I graduated with my bachelor’s degree from Lindsey Wilson and officially began my teaching career.
This will be my 7th year teaching! In 2011, I began working at Edmonton Elementary. In my four years there I taught 5th grade math, 2nd grade, and 4th grade math. In 2014 I received my master’s degree from the University of the Cumberlands as a reading and writing specialist. In 2015 I accepted the position of Adult Ed and ESL instructor in Monroe County. I did that for a year, and then accepted the position as the kindergarten math teacher at Joe Harrison Carter Elementary School in 2016.
This is my second year in third grade. Math is my passion and it’s my desire to help you see just how important math is in the real-world, while making it fun to learn! Being your teacher is such a huge privilege that I will not take for granted. I’m so excited to spend the year with you and I can’t wait to learn all about you!
