CAREER AND TECHNICAL STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
CTSO's offer opportunities that enhance classroom instruction with a focus on: leadership development; academic and career achievement; professional development; and community service. One of the most critical components of strong CTE programs is student participation in related leadership organizations, known as career and technical student organizations. With more than 300 student members combined, SOKY ECCA CTSO's provide a unique program of career and leadership development, motivation, and recognition for CTE Academy students.
SOKY ECCA hosted a Kick-Off Celebration party on Thursday, September 12, 2019, for their Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) :FBLA, HOSA and SkillsUSA. Teachers and staff grilled hamburgers for students and enjoyed a day of games and music provided by a DJ. Student interest and involvement within each club has increased this school year and planning is underway for regional, state, and national competitions along with other exciting events!
SkillsUSA - SkillsUSA is a national organization serving high school and college students and professional members who are enrolled in technical, skilled and service occupations, including health occupations.
Future Business Leaders of America—Phi Beta Lambda - Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda (FBLA-PBL) is the premier business career student organization in the world. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps over 250,000 members prepare for careers in business and business-related fields.
HOSA – Future Health Professionals - HOSA is a national leadership organization for students enrolled in health or biomedical science programs. HOSA is 100% health! The mission of HOSA is to recruit and retain qualified students to the health professions and provide personal, career and leadership development opportunities to be academic, college and career ready.
